The whole world build-up in the series is based on Greek mythology. Percy Jackson is a demigod- son of Poseidon, the Greek God of the Seas, and human mother, Sally. Xuan rescues her, and through the days of recovery and circumstances that keep bringing them closer to one another, they fall in love.

49. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters

The second and possibly the last installment of the movie series is based on Rick Riordans’ Percy Jackson series that is inspired by Greek mythology. The good news for fans of the books is that there is a series with a more age-appropriate Percy on the way.

Percy has a tough time winning any camp competitions in the presence of Clarrise La Rue, daughter of Ares. When the camp is attacked by the son of Hermes, Luke Castellan, he goes on a quest to find the Golden Fleece to restore Thalia’s tree that protects the barrier around Camp Half-Blood from any monsters and threats.
