The new Utano☆Princesama Maji LOVE movie, called Gekijoban Utano☆Princesama♪ TABOO NIGHT XXXX will be released in Japan on May 9, 2025.

Takeshi Furuta, who worked on other Utano☆Princesama films, is the chief director, while Akiko Seki will direct the anime at A-1 Pictures.

Character designs will be by Chinatsu Kuruhana, with Maki Fujioka as the main character designer and Hiroshi Nakajima leading the CG team.

The music will be composed by Elements Garden, which has been a key part of the series’ sound. Shochiku will handle the movie’s distribution.

The film will focus on the idol group QUARTET NIGHT, with voice actors Showtaro Morikubo, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Shōta Aoi, and Tomoaki Maeno.

The group’s new single, TABOO NIGHT XXXX, along with an insert song titled JINN-Ω-RAY, will be released on December 25, 2024.

Before this upcoming movie, Utano☆Princesama Maji LOVE ST☆RISH Tours hit theaters in Japan in September 2022 and had strong success.

It ranked seventh during its opening weekend and sold over 86,500 tickets, nearly reaching one billion yen in its first month.

The film, which centered on the idol group ST☆RISH, became popular enough to receive an encore screening in October 2023.

In addition, a one-hour special aired in July 2022 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first season of Utano☆Princesama Maji Love 1000% and to promote the movie.

The Utano☆Princesama series started as a dating simulation game aimed at female players, where the main character goes to a performing arts school with future idols.

The anime version began in 2011 with Maji Love 1000%. The series follows seven male idols who form the group ST☆RISH, and later seasons continue their rise in the entertainment world.

With its blend of romance, comedy, and music, the show gained a lot of fans and spawned multiple seasons and films, including the 2019 movie Maji Love Kingdom.

The second season of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights Of The Apocalypse has revealed its main trailer, new visuals, and additional details.

The season is set to premiere in Japan on October 6, with Netflix announcing it will be available on their platform soon.

The new season features fresh theme songs: MMH by UVERworld for the opening and Akairo by Hana Hope for the ending.

The cast will also include new voices, with Michiko Kaiden as Teaninich, Kenji Nomura as Macduff, and Yumiri Hanamori as Io.

The anime continues the story from the Kodansha-published manga by Nakaba Suzuki, a sequel to the original The Seven Deadly Sins.

This sequel introduces Percival, a young man who leaves his peaceful life on a remote island to seek adventure after his world is turned upside down.

The manga, which began in January 2021, has been well-received and has 16 volumes as of June 2024.

The series is described as a new adventure within the Seven Deadly Sins, designed to be accessible even to those unfamiliar with the original series.

For the new season, the returning staff includes Director Maki Kodaira, Series Composer and Screenwriter Shigeru Murakoshi, Character Designer Yoichi Takada, and Music Composer KOHTA YAMAMOTO.

Telecom Animation Film will handle the animation production. The voice cast for the second season features Sho Komura as Percival, Kikunosuke Toya as Donny, and other familiar voices from the first season, along with the new additions.

The combination of returning and new talent aims to bring a fresh and exciting experience to fans of the series.
