Besides Debicki and Manville, four actresses from Apple TV+’s The Morning Show and Christine Baranski from HBO’s The Gilded Age were also nominated.
The Gilded Age is set in 1880s New York City and follows women striving to climb high society’s ranks. Baranski, who plays Agnes van Rhijn, is a 16-time Emmy nominee and won her first Emmy for her role in Cybill.
The remaining nominees are from The Morning Show. This Apple TV+ series provides a dramatic look behind the scenes of a news program. It covers current topics like the #MeToo movement, COVID-19, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The nominees include Nicole Beharie as co-host Christina Hunter, Greta Lee as UBA’s news division president Stella Bak, Karen Pittman as producer Mia Jordan, and Holland Taylor as UBA Board Member Cybil Richards.
