Catherine Tate and Joe Morton have a new project. They will be part of the cast for Going Dutch. According to Deadline, this upcoming comedy show will focus on Colonel Patrick Quinn, played by Denis Leary. Colonel Quinn is a decorated officer who will be moved to a quiet base on the other side of the world after giving an offensive and unfiltered speech.
Besides acting in the show, Leary will also be an executive producer for Going Dutch. FOX Entertainment will produce the series. The show will center around Quinn’s methods to bring military discipline to a base that prefers leisure activities.
Joe Morton and Catherine Tate have been involved in interesting projects before joining Going Dutch. Tate recently returned as Donna Noble in special episodes of Doctor Who. These episodes celebrated six decades of the show entertaining fans worldwide.
Morton was seen recently as Silas Stone in the DC Extended Universe. His character tries to save his son’s life through a process that eventually turns him into Cyborg, played by Ray Fisher. Both Tate and Morton are ready to showcase their comedic skills in Going Dutch.
In Going Dutch, Joe Morton will play General Davidson, who has a long-standing rivalry with Colonel Patrick Quinn, played by Leary. The tension between them will increase as Davidson gains more power because he never says no. Meanwhile, Quinn will face consequences for defending his controversial beliefs.

Tate will play Katja Vanderhoff, a charming woman with a PhD in intersectional feminism. Vanderhoff is also the head of the city’s Chamber of Commerce and the owner of a brothel. The show will include many talented comedic actors. Danny Pudi, Laci Mosely, Hal Cumpston, and Dempsey Bryk will also be in the series.
Pudi is well-known for his role as Abed Nadir in Community, and he will return to this role in the upcoming movie. Taylor Misiak will play Captain Maggie Quinn, who is revealed to be Colonel Patrick Quinn’s estranged daughter.
The amazing story of Otis Redding and his wife Zelma Redding will be shown in a new movie called Otis & Zelma. John Boyega and Danielle Deadwyler will star in this film. Channing Godfrey Peoples will direct the movie. It will tell the life story of Otis Redding, who is one of the most important singer-songwriters ever.
He is famous for songs like “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay,” “Respect,” and “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long.” Sadly, Redding died at the young age of 26 in a plane crash in 1967. He left behind his wife Zelma and their three children.
The film will focus on the ten years that Otis and Zelma spent together and how their love story influenced his music. The movie has the support of the Otis Redding Estate and Zelma. It will also show how determined Zelma has been to keep her husband’s legacy alive.
The film’s summary says, “Zelma’s resilience and determination to preserve his musical legacy for the last 56 years fuels her, just as much as Otis’ love for Zelma fueled him.”

Channing Godfrey Peoples gained attention for her first film, Miss Juneteenth, released in 2020. This film starred Emmy nominee Nicole Beharie. Peoples won the National Board of Review Award for Best Directorial Debut for Miss Juneteenth. John Boyega is known for playing Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. He won a Golden Globe in 2021 for his role in the Emmy-nominated miniseries Small Axe. He became famous for his role in the 2011 film Attack the Block. He has also appeared in movies like They Cloned Tyrone, The Woman King, Breaking, and Pacific Rim: Uprising.
Danielle Deadwyler is famous for her role as Mamie Till-Mobley in the 2022 film Till. Her performance won her the Outstanding Lead Performance award at the Gotham Awards. She also received the Breakthrough Performance award from the National Board of Review and nominations from SAG, Critics Choice, and BAFTA.
