The Masked Singer UK is about to change for its sixth season. Rita Ora, a panelist since Season 1, will be replaced by Maya Jama. ITV announced that Jama, who hosts Love Island, will take Ora’s spot on the judging panel.
On Instagram, Jama shared her excitement about joining the “legendary line-up” of The Masked Singer UK. She will join returning judges Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan. Ora will not be part of this season. However, Joel Dommett will return as the host for Season 6.
While Ora will not appear on the UK version this season, she will still be part of The Masked Singer universe as she joins the American version, replacing Nicole Scherzinger.
Both the US and UK versions of The Masked Singer are based on South Korea’s The King of Mask Singer.
They follow a format where celebrities compete against each other on stage while hiding their identities. The Masked Singer UK first premiered in 2020, and the latest season ended in February this year.

Although the sixth season will be Jama’s first time on The Masked Singer UK, she has proven her talent in the reality TV world. She has been a popular television presenter since hosting the ninth season of Love Island.
Her other television and radio credits include The Hot Desk, Loose Women, Cannonball, The Circle, Celebrity Juice, Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star, and Walk The Line. Besides the main Love Island show, she also hosted its two spin-offs, Love Island Games and Love Island: All-Stars.

During the name change, the distributor forgot to add the copyright notice to the new title. This was required by the US Copyright Act of 1909. Because of this mistake, the film entered the Public Domain.
This allowed other filmmakers to use clips from Night of the Living Dead without paying the creators.
