DETAILED SPOILERS – MORE COMING SOON

Chapter of 17 pages. Chapter 1,153: “The birth of Loki”. Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Vol. 37: “Meeting Kikunojo, the Daimyou of Ringo, and the yakuza boss O-Cho”.

Chapter starts seeing Harald’s childhood with Dorry and Brogy. Harald was born strong and bigger than others so he became very spoiled.

One day Harald saw a female giant named “Ida” captured and used as a circus show in one human town. So Harald destroyed the town and released her. Ida had freckles on her face and thick lips, and she also had a ponytail (she’s very different from women Oda usually draws).

Ida: “Who are you?” Harald: “Oh no need for thanks!! I am the king of Elbaph after all!! Can’t let them make fun of my homeland!!”

Suddenly, Ida slapped Harald very hard in the face. Harald was in shock with a very funny face.

Turns out that Ida was saved by the humans of that town when she was shipwrecked, so she was working with them willingly all along. Ida taught Harald that he’s not better than anyone else just because he was born strong. Because of her Harald became a better person and started to take interest in other cultures.

Harald brought Ida back to Elbaph and he wanted to marry Ida, but the giant elders forbid it because she wasn’t Elbaph blood. So Ida lived in a village in Elbaph, while Harald became a new person and started diplomacy with other countries (like Ryugu Kingdom in Fishman Island).

Some years later Ida gave birth to Hajrudin but Harald was arranged by giant elders to marry “Estrida”, the daughter of a high positioned giant.

Estrida: “I was born in the Alcohol Village in the northern lands, and I have been studying ‘Di Feng’. I have seen that I’m destined to be loved and cherished by your majesty!! Please forget about that girl from the east and the child.” Harald: “Ahh… No… I can’t really do that…”

Estrida was a very beautiful giant woman dressed with dancer clothes (similar to Nami and Vivi in Arabasta). She was obsessed with “Di Feng” (probably the One Piece version of “Feng Shui”) so she ordered to close/open windows and change the furniture in the castle.

Some time later (when Harald was overseas) Estrida gave birth to Loki, a baby with demonic eyes (his eyes looked like Sauron’s). She got panicked and decided to throw Loki down to the Underworld. Then Estrida ordered the servants to tell king Harald that the baby was born dead.

Then, in the final double page of the chapter, we see baby Loki crying while crawling up the Treasure Tree Adam. Baby Loki was very injured because he fought against some of the beasts from the Underworld.

Loki: “Aah… Aah…”

Chapter ends seeing Estrida in the castle, Harald traveling in the sea and Ida/Hajrudin in the giant village while the narrator speaks.

Narrator: [From Queen Estrida falling into sickness…] Estrida: “Remove that child from this world… Indeed it has been foretold even before his birth…!!! That one day King Harald ‘will be killed by his own son’!!” Soldier: “You are bringing up that nonsense again, Your Highness…!”

Narrator: [To Harald being troubled by the wall that exists between countries…] Harald: “The ‘World Government’ getting in my way again… Why can’t the countries act freely!!?”

Ida: “He’s your little brother, isn’t he?? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to meet him? Oh the baby.” Hajrudin: “He’s not my brother!! He’s not mommy’s kid!” Ida: “Awww. Everything you say is so cute.”

Narrator: [Every disaster that befalls Elbaph from these moments onward is now credited as part of “Loki’s Curse”.]

• End of chapter. BREAK next week.

Eli Roth, the mastermind behind spine-chilling horror films like “Hostel” and “Cabin Fever,” has audiences not only with his cinematic prowess but also with his intriguing personal life and romantic relationships. Born on April 18, 1972, in Newton, Massachusetts, the 52-year-old filmmaker has experienced a fascinating journey through love, marriage, and heartbreak that mirrors the dramatic narratives of his films.

The horror genre icon’s dating history reads like a Hollywood script, featuring relationships with notable actresses, models, and personalities from the entertainment industry. From his early romantic connections with actresses like Cerina Vincent and Barbara Nedeljáková to his high-profile marriage with Chilean actress Lorenza Izzo, Roth’s love life has been a subject of considerable public interest and media attention.

What makes Roth’s romantic story particularly compelling is how his personal relationships have often intertwined with his professional endeavors. His collaborations with romantic partners have resulted in memorable film projects, showcasing how love and creativity can merge in cinema. His marriage to Lorenza Izzo, in particular, became a significant chapter in both their personal lives and professional careers, as they worked together on multiple film projects, including “The Green Inferno” and “Knock Knock.”

Currently, Roth appears to have found love again, having remarried in 2023, marking a new chapter in his personal journey after his divorce from Izzo was finalized in 2019.

Eli Roth’s romantic journey in Hollywood began in the early 2000s when he was establishing himself as a prominent figure in the horror film industry. His dating history includes several notable relationships with actresses and personalities from the entertainment world.

One of his earliest documented relationships was with actress Cerina Vincent, known for her work in horror films and television series. Their relationship lasted from 2002 to 2003, coinciding with Roth’s rise to prominence in the horror genre. This was followed by a relationship with Courtney Peldon from 2004 to 2005, during which time Roth was gaining recognition for his directorial work.

Perhaps one of his most significant pre-marriage relationships was with Slovak actress Barbara Nedeljáková, which lasted from 2005 to 2009. Nedeljáková appeared in Roth’s breakthrough film “Hostel,” demonstrating how his personal and professional lives often intersected. Their four-year relationship coincided with some of Roth’s most successful career moments.

In 2010, Roth was linked to Peaches Geldof, the British television presenter and writer, though this relationship was relatively brief. He also had an encounter with Noor Alfallah in 2018, following his separation from his wife.

Marriage to Lorenza Izzo: A Love Story Born on Set

The most significant chapter in Eli Roth’s romantic life began when he met Chilean actress and model Lorenza Izzo during the production of the 2012 film “Aftershock.” Their meeting was orchestrated by a mutual friend and director Nicolás López, who was unaware that Izzo could speak English fluently.

Initially cast in a small role, Izzo’s ability to speak English fluently impressed Roth, who then cast her in the lead role. As Izzo later described, they “spent the whole shooting process together,” and she attributed the start of their relationship to “the randomness of the world.”

Their romance blossomed quickly, leading to their marriage on November 8, 2014, in a beautiful beach ceremony in Zapallar, Chile. The wedding was an intimate affair that reflected both their love for each other and Izzo’s Chilean heritage.

Professional Collaborations and Creative Partnership

What made Roth and Izzo’s relationship unique was their successful professional collaboration alongside their personal bond. Izzo appeared in several of Roth’s films, including “The Green Inferno” (2013), where she played the lead role, and “Knock Knock” (2015). She also had a role in “The House With a Clock In Its Walls.”

Their creative partnership demonstrated how romantic relationships in Hollywood can enhance artistic collaboration. Izzo’s performances in Roth’s films were well-received, and their on-screen chemistry translated from their real-life connection. The couple often spoke about their shared passion for cinema and storytelling, which formed a strong foundation for both their personal and professional relationship.

The End of a Marriage: Separation and Divorce

Despite their apparent happiness and successful collaborations, Roth and Izzo announced their separation in July 2018 after nearly four years of marriage. The announcement came as a surprise to many, as the couple had seemed deeply in love just months before.

The couple released a joint statement on Instagram, expressing their mutual respect and love despite their decision to separate. “It is with deep love and respect that we are choosing to separate as a couple. We’ve had an incredible journey together, we love each other very much, and will remain the best of friends,” they wrote.

Their statement also included a touch of humor characteristic of Roth’s personality, noting that they were “ultimately separating so we don’t f—ing kill each other.” This candid approach to their divorce announcement reflected their commitment to maintaining honesty and friendship despite the end of their romantic relationship.

The divorce was filed in Los Angeles, and the process was finalized in August 2019. Notably, the couple did not have any children together, which may have simplified the divorce proceedings.

Life After Divorce and New Beginnings

Following his divorce from Lorenza Izzo, Eli Roth maintained a relatively private personal life. The filmmaker focused on his career while keeping his romantic relationships out of the public spotlight. This period allowed him to reflect on his personal growth and what he wanted in future relationships.

Roth’s approach to privacy regarding his personal life became more pronounced after his divorce. Known for being a private individual who prefers to let his work speak for itself, he successfully kept details about any new relationships away from media attention.

Current Relationship Status: A New Chapter

In a significant development, Roth revealed in a 2023 interview with Men’s Health that he had remarried. This announcement marked a new chapter in his personal life, though he has chosen to keep details about his new wife private, respecting both their privacy and his preference for maintaining separation between his personal and professional life.

The fact that Roth has remarried suggests that he has found happiness again after his divorce from Izzo. His decision to keep this relationship private demonstrates his growth and learning from his previous high-profile marriage. This approach allows him to nurture his new relationship away from public scrutiny while continuing to focus on his successful career in filmmaking.

Roth’s journey through love, marriage, divorce, and remarriage reflects the complex nature of relationships in Hollywood and shows his resilience in both personal and professional spheres.
