ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1156 BRIEF SPOILERS

CHAPTER TITLE: “IDOLS”

In the color spread we see Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Nami in the front with Roger, Rayleigh, and Gaban in the back and the other Strawhats are also in the color spread but they are small sitting on Luffy and in his pockets.

– Kuja Pirates were idols for people all over the world. At that time Gloriosa was the captain and Shakuyaku was number two but Shakuyaku was the people’s favorite for her beauty.

– Kuja Pirates and Roger Pirates clashed in the sea. All the Roger Pirates were captivated by Shakuyaku’s beauty and they couldn’t fight 100%. Gloriosa loved Roger (she was sick like Hancock) but even Roger was captivated by Shakuyaku however Shakuyaku had her eyes on Rayleigh.

– Suddenly Garp’s ship approached them so the Kuja Pirates escaped while the Roger Pirates fought the Marines. Roger and Garp had a brutal clash with a huge wave of Supreme King Haki. Roger used his sword and Garp used his fists.

– Loki planned to join Rocks Pirates next time they return to Elbaph.

– In Hachinosu we see the Rocks Pirates with new crew members like Big Mom, Kaido, Silver Axe and John. Rocks told all of them that Elbaph is very important to destroy the Holy Land.

– Rocks also explained his plan at the end of the chapter. First he needed two legendary Devil Fruits and one of them was in Elbaph. He also needed to find the Galleia Giants.

– Break next week for Jump Magazine holiday.

ADDITIONAL SPOILERS

One Piece Chapter 1156 is going sorta wild. Mainly about God Valley.

40 years ago, Hachinosu didn’t look like this; it didn’t have two eyes (holes). Those were created by Xebec in this chapter, who thought it would look good for the view, so he drilled two holes into the mountain.

MORE SPOILERS

More details of the chapter, thanks to redon from Arlong Park Forums.

More details of the chapter by myself, Chapter of 19 pages (2 color pages from Color Spread and 17 black and white normal pages).

– Narrator explains the popularity of the Kuja Pirates was so strong during the era of the flashback that it wouldn’t make sense to leave Kuja out of the story.

– Kuja Pirates were an “Idol Group” of rough ladies. Their bounty posters were being sold for a high price and getting photos taken or being stalked become another Tuesday for them. And Shakuyaku (who later became known as “Empress”) eventually get to a whole other league of popularity compared to others.

– Kuja and Roger Pirates clashed because Roger wanted to take Shakuyaku with them. But Shakuyaku refused and hit Roger (he had a funny bump on his head). Shakuyaku also said “paper to being to no one”. Then Gloriosa hugged Roger saying “Roger, I’m saying I love you!!” but Roger told her “Get out of the way Gloriosa, I can’t see Shakky” loool

– Rayleigh was the only one in Roger Pirates who was not entranced by Shakuyaku’s beauty, so Shakuyaku told him they could take all of their supplies for free. Then Shakuyaku winked at Rayleigh when leaving and Rayleigh finally blushed.

– Garp used “Meteor Fist” against Roger Pirates ship and Roger used a new attack called “Wild Soul” (“Ara Mitama” (荒御霊) in Japanese, one of the four sub-spirits that human has according to a Shinto theory). While we see Roger and Garp fighting in an EPIC double page, narrator explained that it was during the era of the flashback when Roger, Garp, Rocks… youthful blood clashed for the first time.

– In Elbaph, Ida asked Loki to come live with her and Hijarudin but Loki refused. He just wanted to go to sea with Rocks.

– In Hachinosu a man arrived to the island and attacked some random pirates. He was “Kyou the Yakuza”, later known as “Silver Axe” and Shiki’s rival (he wasn’t part of Rock Pirates yet). Kyou was a huge guy with a big tattoo on his chest. He wore a kimono decorated with axes, sunglasses and a huge axe in the back. His design is similar to Zephyr from “One Piece Film Z”.

– Chapter ends with all Rocks Pirates in the “skull” of Hachinosu in another AMAZING double page. We are introduced to new Rocks Pirates crew members: Charlotte Linlin, Streusen, Kaidou, John and Barbel (a Catfish Fishman). Barbel is this guy we saw in God Valley, but in this chapter his hair looks like flames.

– Rocks explained to his crew-mates what he needed for his plan.

  1. Find 2 Akuma no Mi, one of them is in Elbaph. Rocks wanted Harald to eat it so that fruit can achieve its true potential.
  2. Find the “Galleyla giants”.

Rocks: “Listen, ‘Elbaph’ is crucial to taking the Holy Land!!! Don’t believe me? Well get lost now!!! Whether or not you wanna follow me on the destined day is up to you!!! But if you have make up your mind, then tag along…!! I will show you what’s on the summit of the world!!!!!!”

One Piece - 9

“One Piece” is a beloved Japanese manga and anime series that chronicles the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew. Luffy, imbued with rubber powers from a mystical fruit Hito Hito no Mi, aspires to become the Pirate King. To achieve this, he seeks the ultimate treasure, the “One Piece,” hidden at the Grand Line’s end. Along the journey, Luffy gathers a diverse crew, confronts formidable foes, and uncovers world-altering secrets, all while promoting themes of friendship, freedom, and adventure.

A new isekai anime has arrived this season, and it’s anything but ordinary. Clevatess brings a quirky twist to the familiar formula of another world adventures, mixing dark humor, offbeat characters, and unexpected plot turns that set it apart from other shows in the genre.

At the center of Clevatess is its title character, an ancient and powerful dragon feared across dimensions. Clevatess isn’t just any monster; he’s known as the “King of Calamity,” a being so strong that entire kingdoms tremble at his name. But his personality is far from what you might expect. He’s sarcastic, moody, and weirdly dramatic. Despite being one of the most dangerous creatures alive, he complains like a grumpy old man and has a sharp, dry sense of humor that catches both enemies and viewers off guard.

The story kicks off when a young man named Kaito is suddenly transported from modern Japan to a fantasy world. Unlike most isekai heroes, Kaito doesn’t get powerful weapons, cheat abilities, or a grand destiny. Instead, he’s chosen as the “Human Representative” tasked with negotiating peace with Clevatess, who has already destroyed several cities just because he was bored.

When they first meet, Kaito thinks he’s about to be eaten. But to his surprise, Clevatess spares him. Why? Because the dragon thinks Kaito is funny. That’s it. Kaito’s sarcastic attitude and cluelessness amuse the ancient beast, and before long, the two form an unlikely partnership. Clevatess agrees not to destroy the world… at least for now. In return, Kaito becomes his companion, translator, and unwilling travel buddy.

Clevatess Delivers a Hilariously Weird Twist on the Isekai Genre

From that point on, Clevatess becomes a wild ride through a fantasy world filled with odd kingdoms, bizarre monsters, and even weirder politics. Every episode introduces new challenges, from crazy cults that worship Clevatess, to demon lords who try to fight him and fail miserably, to royal families who attempt to bribe the dragon with gold, only to be roasted for their bad taste in fashion.

The comedy in Clevatess is one of its strongest points. The show doesn’t take itself too seriously, constantly poking fun at isekai clichés and turning heroic moments into punchlines. Whether it’s Kaito panicking over a three-headed chicken or Clevatess lecturing a villain about table manners mid-battle, the humor comes fast and strange.

But the anime also has its heartfelt moments. As their journey continues, Kaito and Clevatess begin to understand each other more deeply. Kaito learns that Clevatess has lived for so long he’s forgotten what it means to care about anything. Meanwhile, Clevatess starts to see that not all humans are greedy or weak, and maybe, just maybe, it’s okay to let someone in.

The animation style is bold and expressive, with character designs that lean into the ridiculous. Clevatess’s enormous, menacing form is paired with exaggerated facial expressions and over-the-top voice acting, while Kaito’s constant nervous reactions bring the perfect counterbalance. Fight scenes are fast and colorful, but never lose their comedic edge.

Overpowered Dragon Meets Clueless Human in Offbeat Fantasy Comedy Clevatess

The opening and ending themes also reflect the anime’s quirky nature. The opening is an upbeat rock song filled with quick cuts, wild monster designs, and Clevatess striking overly dramatic poses. The ending, meanwhile, is a slow, silly lullaby sung by Clevatess himself (or at least his voice actor), featuring chibi-style versions of the characters dancing badly in a meadow.

Since its debut, Clevatess has been drawing attention from fans looking for something different. It doesn’t try to be the biggest or flashiest isekai, it embraces its weirdness and runs with it. And that’s what makes it fun.

Clevatess Anime - 11

At its core, Clevatess is about an overpowered dragon and a regular guy stuck together in a world they both find annoying. But through all the laughs, battles, and sarcastic one-liners, there’s a strange and growing friendship between them that keeps the show grounded.

For viewers tired of the same old chosen-one stories and power-level battles, Clevatess offers a refreshing break. It’s weird, loud, sometimes a little gross, and totally worth the ride.

Whether you come for the comedy or stay for the characters, this quirky isekai might just become your favorite surprise of the season.
