ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1157 BRIEF SPOILERS Title: “Legendary bar”.
Cover: Yamato visits the grave of the hero who died fighting Kaidou.
We see that Rocks Pirates members always tried to betray one another. Then narrator talks about the crimes Rocks pirates have committed.
Harald saved someone from one of Elbaph’s allies countries from WG agents and that damages relationship between Elbaph and WG.
Rocks returned to Elbaph and talked with Harald at Ida’s bar (Loki was spying). Harald still refused Rocks offer to join him.
In Marine HQ, Garp asked Kong to allow giants to join Marines because they need giants strength. But Kong said he cannot do that because is something only WG can allow and they talk about the Rocks too.

Additional Spoilers
While Rocks, Shiki, and John in addition to having their hearts popping out of their chests have pervy expressions, Newgate has a 100% serious face even with his heart out of his chest. That’s why it’s funny that he appears like this in the scene.”
Btw if you look closely at some panels in onepiece chapter 1157 , there are parts that aren’t 100% finished (missing screentones or shading). That’s why there’s a break next week. Oda hasn’t even had the time to fully complete this chapter.
Keep in mind he’s had to draw several color illustrations lately (2 Jump covers, 2 color spreads, and other things like the cover for One Piece Magazine Vol. 20), and he’s also given a long interview for the next OnePiece Magazine. So it’s normal for him to need a bit of extra rest. (pew)
Gloriosa: I wonder what Shakky is planning.
Linlin: Maybe she quit to chase after a man, just like you did? In the end, will the Island of Women be defeated by love?
Gloriosa: Someone like you, who pops out kids like popcorn, could never possibly understand the anguish of love…
But I like how Oda makes it clear that Whitebeard is a big name on his own. The strongest man for a reason guys.. (worstgen)
The chance that some Rocks members are the fathers of Big Mom’s children makes sense, as Katakuri and co. are also on the ship. Big Mom joined Rocks 45 years ago and sailed under them for 6 years, she got every year new kids..
I’m really curious to see where Harald and Xebec’s journey will take them. Is Xebec’s death perhaps the reason Harald lost his horns? No matter how much Harald denies it, it’s clear he also sees Xebec as a friend. Is Harald responsible for Xebec’s death?

Narrator: In the mere span of 2 years after the Rocks Pirates were formed, they committed 16 assault incidents, sank 76 ships, burned 14 ports, destroyed 5 towns, toppled 1 country, violated 3 special cases under Article 18 of the “World Law”, and had 25 cases of erased criminal records.
Although this was the same sea where the future Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, sailed, it can be said that the few years where they made their waves is called the “Era of Rocks”

The question on everyone’s mind is simple: When is YNW Melly getting out of prison? Since his arrest in 2019, the Florida rapper, known for hits like “Murder on My Mind” and “Mixed Personalities”, has been at the center of one of the most high-profile legal battles in hip-hop.
Jamell Maurice Demons, better known as YNW Melly, is not just fighting for his freedom; he’s fighting for his life and career in the shadow of murder allegations, a mistrial, and a looming retrial.
Over the past few years, speculation has swirled across social media, with rumors of imminent release dates spreading like wildfire. However, the truth is far more complicated than the viral TikTok claims. Let’s break it down.
Why Melly Is Behind Bars
YNW Melly has been incarcerated since February 13, 2019, following his arrest on two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of his friends, YNW Sakchaser (Anthony Williams) and YNW Juvy (Christopher Thomas Jr.).
Prosecutors allege that Melly and his co-defendant staged the murders to look like a drive-by shooting, a claim the defense continues to deny. From the start, the case attracted massive attention, blending courtroom drama with rap culture. Fans hoped for a quick resolution, but the legal system rarely works that way.
His first trial finally began in June 2023 but ended in July with a hung jury. The mistrial was declared on July 22, 2023, leaving Melly’s fate hanging in limbo.
While the mistrial meant he wasn’t convicted, it also meant no acquittal—so he stayed behind bars awaiting the next round. This sets the stage for his upcoming retrial, which could decide everything about his future.
The Upcoming Retrial: September 2025 Is Key
After months of delays, the retrial is now scheduled to begin in September 2025, with jury selection slated to start around September 10. Opening statements will follow shortly after.
This retrial is significant because prosecutors are reportedly going in even harder this time, armed with new evidence and testimony they believe can secure a conviction. On the other hand, Melly’s defense team will aim to dismantle the prosecution’s narrative and convince the jury that the state’s case doesn’t hold up.
Until the retrial concludes, there is no definitive release date. The trial itself could take weeks or even months, depending on how the evidence unfolds. Only when a verdict is delivered will we have a clearer picture of whether YNW Melly is walking free or facing more prison time.
Could Melly Be Released Before the Trial?
Here’s where things get interesting. While murder defendants are rarely granted bail, Melly’s legal team has been working aggressively to secure his pretrial release. They’ve filed lawsuits against the Broward Sheriff’s Office, alleging “cruel and unusual” detention conditions.
Recently, a judge ordered jail officials to explain why Melly should not be released on bond by December 6, 2025. This means that if the jail fails to justify his continued isolation, there’s a slim chance Melly could be granted house arrest or some form of conditional release before his retrial begins. However, such outcomes in murder cases are extremely rare, so fans shouldn’t bank on it just yet.

What Happens If He’s Convicted?
The stakes in this trial couldn’t be higher. If Melly is convicted, he faces two potential outcomes under Florida law: life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty. Initially, prosecutors dropped the death penalty, but due to recent changes in Florida sentencing laws and new legal maneuvers, that option has been reintroduced.
Florida now allows the death penalty with an 8-4 jury vote rather than a unanimous decision, which increases the state’s chances if they pursue it. For Melly, a conviction would mean his rap career and his freedom would effectively end.
The Rumors About His Release
Every few months, social media explodes with rumors claiming that Melly has been released or is “coming home next week.” These are almost always false. Viral TikToks and Instagram posts often mislead fans by citing old or fabricated court documents.
While Melly has posted cryptic messages through his management hinting at an upcoming release, none of these have been backed by actual court rulings. The reality remains: until the retrial or bond hearings produce an official decision, Melly stays locked up.
What Fans Can Expect in the Coming Months
With the retrial scheduled for September 2025, fans should brace for a media circus. Expect daily updates from court reporters, live tweets during testimony, and a flood of social media reactions to every twist in the case.
Additionally, the December 6, 2025, bond ruling deadline could be a pivotal moment. If the judge sides with Melly’s legal team, we might see him step out of jail temporarily—though that’s still a long shot.
The Bigger Picture: Why This Case Resonates
YNW Melly’s case is more than just a celebrity legal drama—it’s a reflection of the tension between fame, the justice system, and public opinion.
To his supporters, Melly is an innocent artist being targeted because of his lyrics and persona. To prosecutors, he’s a dangerous criminal hiding behind a music career. This clash plays out not just in court but in the court of public opinion, where every piece of evidence is dissected by millions online.
Regardless of where you stand, there’s no denying that this trial will be one of the most watched cases in music history. It’s a story of power, loss, and the fight for a future when everything is on the line.
When Is YNW Melly Coming Out?
As of now, there is no confirmed release date for YNW Melly. His future hinges on two critical legal events: the retrial beginning in September 2025 and the bond review deadline in December 2025. If he’s acquitted, he could be released as early as late 2025. If he’s convicted, he faces life in prison or potentially the death penalty. Until then, fans will have to wait and watch as the next chapter of his story unfolds.
