– Big Mom took the Azure Dragon Fruit with the intending to give it to Katakuri but Kaido ambush her, and snatch the Devil Fruit, then eat it immediately.

– Rocks defeats Garling.

– Imu possessed Saturn in his spider form, while the remaining Davy Clan already been turned into demons.

The ending is not only epic, but also very heartwarming. Xebec tells Whitebeard and Kaido that neither of them has any benefit from fighting by his side, but they’re both fighting by his side anyway, and the atmosphere of them all laughing ripped my heart apart.

Xebec’s character simply plays the role perfectly, and I refuse to accept that Whitebeard, Kaido, and Linlin had no respect for him. I can well imagine that Xebec’s death influenced all three of them. You see, this Kaido would never betray his “crew members” just because they faced strong opponents.

And I’ll say it again, I’m certain that Kaido didn’t fly to Marineford to kill Whitebeard; he flew there to help Whitebeard… The bond between Xebec, Kaido, Whitebeard, and probably Linlin, was very good. The Rock Pirates are simply the best pirate crew…

DETAILED SPOILERS PART 1

Garling and the remaining Davy Family members, who have turned into demons, fight against Rocks but are all defeated.

– Garp and Roger are shocked by Imu’s appearance and overwhelming Haki in God Valley.

– Garp is furious and horrified by the number of civilian deaths on the island. He even calls Sengoku, questioning if the rumors are really happening there.

– Rocks looks at Imu and says: “This is the world itself.”

– Rocks’s attacks cause the enemy’s regeneration to slow down. This is seen on Garling—similar to how Gaban attacks affected Somber before.

– Rocks admits to Whitebeard and Kaido that they gain nothing by siding with him.

– Even so, they choose to fight alongside him, and the three of them laugh together as comrades.

– Garp questions the truth behind what’s happening; includes Sengoku’s response (someone else raised this same doubt before—but later disappeared from the Navy).

– Rocks saves and helps Eris and Teach escape.

– Rocks escapes while carrying his wife and child, being pursued by Garling and a group of Davy Family members turned into demons—including his father and grandmother.

– In the end, Rocks defeats them all. Garling collapses, coughing blood.

– Big Mom is struck down by Kaido’s ambush; Kaido steals and eats the Devil Fruit.

– Saturn is seen observing from the mountain, seemingly communicating with Imu.

– Ivankov and Kuma both appear this chapter. Some scenes are flashbacks from Chapter 1065; others are new. Kuma uses his powers to heal many Injured civilians.

– Imu appears possessing Saturn’s “Demon Form” again, still mostly shown as a black silhouette with only the eyes clearly visible. Imu does not speak this chapter.

– When Rocks says that siding with him brings no benefit, Whitebeard and Dragon-Fond Kaido laugh and fight alongside him.

– The chapter ends with Rocks looking at Imu and saying, “This is the world itself.”

DETAILED SUMMARY – ONE PIECE 1162

– Chapter 1,162: “G·V·B·R (God Valley Battle Royal)”.

  • Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Vol. 44 (final part): “To Sir Luffy, another peaceful day passes in Wanokuni!”. We see Yamato, Momonosuke, Kinemon and Ulti enjoying a walk through the Flower Capital.
  • Chapter starts with Rayleigh carrying Shakky away to escape from God Valley. Shiki stopped other pirates from attacking Rayleigh since it may harm Shakky too.
  • Newgate ordered all pirates to target the treasures instead, and we see pirates fighting all over the island.
  • Garp discovered all the dead civilians and was shocked, so he called Sengoku to ask if he knew all along.
  • Then we see that Rocks managed to rescue Eris and Teach and he was running away carrying with them on his back. They were being chased by Garling and another “Knight of God”, and some demons accompanied them. Those demons were the members of the Davy Clan, including Rocks’ father and grandmother.

Rocks: “Damn it!!! Are those people immortal!!” Eris: “Xebec!! Let me down!!”

Rocks: “Running is our only option right now!! Those who got caught all turned into THAT FORM!! Just what is that exactly!? Someone’s power!? Pops!! Hag!! What happened to you all!!??”

  • Suddenly, Eris jumped off Rocks. She talked with Rocks while she remembered Rocks’ father and mother.

Eris: “Xebec!! I am already a proud member of the Davy Clan!! Everyone here was so kind to me despite my past as a pirate…!! I understand the fate of this clan… which is why you need to let me down!!! If I lack even the ability to properly protect a child… If I was a woman who only knows to cling onto you… You wouldn’t have fallen in love with me… isn’t that right!!??” Xebec: “You idiot!!”

Eris: “If the situation look like we are to be captured, I will kill Teach and then myself!!! Let us both survive!! See you in “Lulusia”, Xebec!!”

  • Cut to Linlin, just after she stole the “Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon” from Ivankov (we can see Kuma helping some people with his new powers). Linlin was very happy with the fruit.

Linlin: “The ‘Fish Fish Fruit’!! Katakuri shall have this!! My future crew would need tremendous powe—”

  • But suddenly, Kaidou appeared behind Linlin and hit her in the face with his kanabo. Then Kaidou ate the fruit immediately and transformed into a dragon, flying away from there.
  • Cut again to Rocks, we see that he ended up killing all his relatives of the Davy Clan. Rocks said that if they were going to kill him, of course he had to kill them all first. We also see Garling heavily injured (coughing blood) after his fight with Rocks.
  • Imu arrived at God Valley through Saturn’s body at the end of the chapter. Saturn transformed into his “Gyūki” form and Imu (using the shadowy body that we all know) appeared on top of Saturn.
  • Rocks saw that terrifying creature and was ready to fight against it, but Newgate arrived and joined him.

Rocks: “Newgate, there’s nothing to gain from this ya know!? You still gonna help?” Newgate: “Don’t sweat it!! After all I have been drinking on your tab all this time!!”

  • Then in the ABSOLUTELY EPIC final double page of the chapter, dragon Kaidou appeared flying in the sky and also joined Rocks and Newgate.

Kaidou: “Hey you guys!! Check this out!! Wororororo!! I finally got an ‘ability’!! I want to test this out more!!” Rocks: “Good for you!! I think this is the happiest I have ever seen you isn’t it!? Vohahahahaha!!” Newgate: “That’s great and all… but can I ask something? What the hell is that!?”

  • Garp and Roger also noticed Imu’s arrival. Marines and World Government agents were in shock seeing Saturn transformation.

Marines/Agents: “Saint Saturn!! What is that form!! Uwawhh, it’s a monster!!” Garp (worried): “This has to all be a wild dream!!! What is going on with this island!!” Roger (smiling): “All hail the glorious days of adventure!! I truly knew nothing!!!”

  • Chapter ends with Rocks (very confident) answering Newgate’s question while Imu stared at them in last panel…

Rocks: “What is that you asked? Let’s see… I believe we are looking at… ‘THE WORLD’!!!”

Xebec didn’t use his all-out move/finisher; the fight ended in a classic case of a character being defeated by a mistake without reaching their full potential, just like Oda always does. Sure, the outcome would have been the same, but Oda still keeps secrets about the full potential of characters like Xebec, Roger, or Garp, means we didn´t see the true climax of the fight. But it was also clear that it would end this way.

Oden vs. Kaido was a prime example, where Kaido defeated Oden without using his Hybrid form/Drunken form/Flame Bague, even though we all know Oden was at Kaido’s level. Not that I’m complaining, I expected it.

Oda never shows the final power level of a top-tier character, especially not in a flashback, so I’m happy with the ending. Especially since it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Imu would have taken things a bit more seriously and made short work of Xebec. (worstgen)

Chapter 1,163: “Promise”.

Reader request in the cover: “Luffy doing parkour and jumping between buildings with 2 monkeys”.

Chapter starts with Imu (over Saturn’s body) attacking indiscriminately all pirates and Marines in God Valley. Then Imu came face to face with Rocks.

Rocks: “Hey!! King of rats over there!!! You are here to kill me aren’t ya!?”

Imu: “To think it was you… Davy Jones!!!”

Rocks: “I think you got the wrong person there, I never even met that fella…

However… a “PROMISE” ought to be kept won’t ya agree…”

Imu: “…!! AND THAT’S WHY you all need to be erased!! Completely eradicated from history!!!

Mu’s world is not yet completed…!!!”

Rocks: “This world IS NOT YOURS!!!”

Rocks and Imu began to fight. At the same time Garp arrived at the scene with some Marines and walked toward the fight. He saw how Imu attacked pirates and Marines.

Marines: “Garp-san, should we provide backup?”

Garp: “Of course we should!!”

Marines: “But… to whom!?”

Cut to Roger Pirates Vs. Rocks Pirates. In a GREAT double page, Captain John used “Jiki Jiki no Mi” fruit power (the same fruit Kid has in the present) to collect all treasures for himself with magnetic power.

Captain John: “Come to me, treasures!!!

“Big Eater” (kanjis mean “Big Magnetic Grasp”)!!!”

Gaban: “All metals are reacting to it!! Don’t let your weapons be taken!!!”

Roger Pirates: “Strong magnetic force detected from the entrance of the valley to the southeastern region of the island!!”

Roger: “Out of my way!! I don’t give a damn!!”

Despite the strength of the magnetic power, Roger continued running towards the place where Imu and Rocks were fighting.

Ganzui saw what Captain John was doing, so he attacked him with “Bomu Bomu no Mi” fruit power (the same fruit Mr. 5 has in the present). Ganzui shot a dried mucus to Captain John using an attack called “Sky Snake Red Cannon” and defeated him.

Dragon’s gun was also pulled by Captain John magnetic power, so Dragon fell on the ground when Captain John was attacked and passed out. Dragon and Shanks got separated and then we can see that Shanks climbed into one of the treasure chests.

Cut again to the place where Imu and Rocks were fighting. Garp arrived but a group of Marines were grabbing him to try to stop Garp.

Marines: “No, you can’t do it Vice Admiral Garp!!

That’s the “highest authority of the World Government”…”

Garp: “You mean that vermin!?”

Kaidou asked Rocks to let him have a go too, but suddenly Linlin arrived flying on Zeus and attacked Kaidou. Roger finally arrived too and prepared to attack Imu.

Linlin (angry): “Hold on a second now, Kaidou~~~!!! I’m going to kill you!!”

Kaidou: “You are jealous, right!? Watch this!!”

Roger: “Garp, that’s my target!!”

Then, in ONE OF THE MOST EPIC double pages in all “One Piece”, Garp, Roger, Rocks, Newgate, Kaidou, and Linlin attacked Imu together!!!

Garp: ““Galaxy Impact”!!!”

Roger: ““Kamusari” (Divine Departure)!!!”

Rocks: ““Pandæmonium” (kanjis mean “Cursed Abyss”)!!!”

Newgate: ““Hakua” (kanjis mean “Space Breaker”)!!!”

Linlin: ““Ikoku” (Ikoku Sovereignty)!!!

Kaidou: ““Dragon”!!!”

All those massive attacks destroyed Imu’s body.

Linlin was trying to attack Kaidou, but Kaidou dodged the attack and it hit on Imu’s body instead. Kaidou attack was a “Bolo Breath” but since it was the first time Kaidou used it, he hadn’t yet decided what name to give it looool

Lamentably, Imu recovered from the attacks immediately. And then, Imu unleashed a super massive wave of Supreme King Haki that made a lot of people in God Valley lose consciousness.

Despite everything, Rocks continued attacking Imu and he even managed to cut Imu’s body into pieces with his sword. But it was useless against Imu.

Imu: “Mu can see your wife and son running through the forest…”

Rocks: “Don’t you dare even touch them!!!”

Imu (still cut into pieces) stabbed Rocks body with two black tentacles.

Imu: “Rest assured Mu won’t be doing anything…”

Rocks: “Argh!! A mosquito bite is more…”

Imu: “You will be the one who wipes out your entire clan…!! Annihilate your wife and son…”

Rocks: “What!? As if something that absurd…!!”

Imu: ““Domi Reversi” (Black Conversion Control)”

Rocks: “A… Argh…!!”

In the AMAZING last page of the chapter, Imu used “Domi Reversi” on Rocks while Garp, Roger, Newgate, and Linlin observed in shock what was happening.

Chapter ends with Rocks starting to transform into a demon, we can see how his fangs began to grow. And in the last panel, we see Eris and Teach running through the forest…
