The story follows Eddie who is a 40-year-old loner. Recently, dumped by his fiance, a miserable Eddie jumps the gun and marries Lila. However, Lila who seemed really sweet turns out to be a nightmare. Eddie still gives her the benefit of doubt but she keeps getting worse. Amidst the chaos of Eddie avoiding Lila, he meets Miranda.
