Hollywood is famous for its talent, where skilled people work together to create unforgettable experiences. Over the years, we have enjoyed amazing director-actor pairs like Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson, John Huston and Humphrey Bogart, and Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro.

Now, a new duo is emerging in Hollywood. Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are reuniting to bring us an exciting new film. After showing us the tough boxing rings of Philadelphia and the beautiful throne room of Wakanda, this duo is now taking on the mysterious world of vampires.

After making powerful dramas, sports films, and stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sinners is Coogler’s first venture into horror. In this film, Jordan takes on two roles as twin brothers. What is this film about? When will it be in theaters? Who else stars with Jordan? We have all the answers below.

When Is ‘Sinners’ Coming Out?

Sinners is set to come to theaters on March 7, 2025. Currently, it looks like the film will not face much competition, as only an unnamed Disney movie is scheduled to be released that same weekend.

What Is ‘Sinners’ About?

The tagline on the poster suggests that not everything is what it seems, saying: “Dance with the Devil.” There is little information available about Sinners, but we know the story will focus on vampires. The footage we have seen hints that the film will be a period piece that shows legends from the South.

In the trailer, Jordan’s character states: “Of all the things that I’ve seen, I ain’t ever seen no demons, no ghosts, no magic — ’til now.” Jordan will also play the role of twin brothers in the movie.

The official summary of Sinners reads:

From Ryan Coogler—director of “Black Panther” and “Creed”—and starring Michael B. Jordan comes a new vision of fear: Sinners.

Seeking to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start fresh, only to find that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

“You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.”

Written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Coogler, Sinners features Jordan (from the “Black Panther” and “Creed” franchises) in a dual role.

He is joined by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (“Bumblebee,” “True Grit”), Jack O’Connell (“Ferrari”), Wunmi Mosaku (“Passenger”), Jayme Lawson (“The Woman King”), Omar Benson Miller (“True Lies”), and Delroy Lindo (“Da 5 Bloods”).

Does ‘Sinners’ Have a Trailer?

“I’ve seen men die in ways I didn’t even know was possible.” We got our first look at Sinners on September 24, 2024, with a two-minute trailer. In this trailer, Coogler sets up the mystery of what haunts this southern town. As the two brothers come back to their hometown, they quickly learn that a dark presence is hovering over them.

Their only choice is to fight back, but are they ready for what is coming? It is important to note that this trailer does not directly show the vampires that we know are in the film. Instead, it creates the atmosphere and tone we can expect from Sinners.

There is much more to the film than the trailer reveals, and we look forward to learning more as information comes out. For now, we have the film’s tagline:

“Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.”

Who Stars in ‘Sinners’?

Of course, Michael B. Jordan plays two characters in Sinners. We know that the Creed star will play two brothers, but very little information is available about his characters right now.

Jordan is joined by a talented supporting cast, including Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Dickinson), Wunmi Mosaku (Loki, Lovecraft Country), Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods, The Harder They Fall), Jack O’Connell (Unbroken), Jayme Lawson (The Batman, Till), Omar Benson Miller (True Lies), Li Jun Li (Babylon), and Lola Kirke (Gone Girl).

Like Jordan, we do not yet know what roles the supporting cast will play in the film. However, stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

Who Is Making ‘Sinners’?

It is no surprise that Sinners is directed and produced by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed). However, no film is made by just one person. Sev Ohanian (Creed III) and Zinzi Coogler (Judas and the Black Messiah), both of whom frequently work with Coogler, are also producers.

Will Greenfield (Euphoria) and Rebecca Cho serve as executive producers alongside Academy Award-winner Ludwig Göransson.

The composer won the Best Original Score Oscar for his last collaboration with Coogler on Black Panther and recently earned his second Oscar for his work on Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster, Oppenheimer. It is also important to note that Göransson is scoring Sinners.

Director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter all reunite with Coogler after their great work on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Warner Bros. Pictures is handling the film’s distribution after winning a costly bidding war among them, Sony Pictures, and Universal Studios. Notably, Sinners is the only 2025 film shot completely with IMAX cameras.

Tim Roth, the Oscar-nominated actor, is the latest big star to join the cast of the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie on Netflix. This cast is becoming quite impressive. According to Deadline, Roth will star alongside well-known actors Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, and Barry Keoghan in this eagerly awaited continuation of the famous BBC series.

While the specifics of Roth’s role, along with those of Ferguson and Keoghan, are not yet revealed, it is confirmed that Murphy will return as Tommy Shelby, the leader of the gangster family from Birmingham.

Roth is famous for his roles in Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Rob Roy, for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He will soon be seen as Abomination in Captain America: Brave New World.

What Is the Peaky Blinders Movie About?

Details about the film are still kept secret, which is common for upcoming projects. However, Knight mentioned in an interview with Esquire that he has some ideas and a general feeling of what the plot will be. The story is expected to revolve around two main narratives.

Knight prefers to let the film guide the direction of the story, but it is likely to show the next generation of characters while staying connected to the Shelbys, with Tommy Shelby being a key character, as expected. Here’s what he said about the film’s direction during his conversation with the Esquire:

“The film, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories it’s going to tell. How the story will unfold, I don’t know. What will happen after that, I want that to depend on the film.

For all we know somebody is going to pop out – I think I know who it’s going to be. In series six we’re bringing in the new generation, and they are going to be part of what happens in the film. I think it’s finding those actors that you just watch, and you think, there you go. There’s the future.”

Stay tuned for more news about Peaky Blinders, as production on the movie will start very soon. You can watch all seasons of Peaky Blinders on Netflix.
