Referring to the first season, he expressed confidence in its reception on platforms like Netflix. This led many to speculate that plans for a continuation were already in motion, especially with the imminent launch of the Solo Leveling: Arise game beta in April 2024.

Furthermore, viewers of the recent Solo Leveling documentary, “The Leveling of Solo Leveling,” caught glimpses of designs featuring the character Beru. As Beru’s appearance occurs later in the original manhwa, speculation arose on social media that Crunchyroll had inadvertently leaked news of a Season 2.

Regardless of these hints, Solo Leveling’s immense popularity made the prospect of additional episodes highly likely, following in the footsteps of other successful series like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and The Apothecary Diaries, which have also hinted at continuations, with the latter confirmed for 2025.

Solo Leveling Season 2 is scheduled for release in October 2024 and will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll. CEO Rahul Purini of Crunchyroll recently disclosed that the company initially proposed the anime series to Aniplex based on feedback from its global audience. Crunchyroll describes Solo Leveling as follows:

“They say whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but that’s not the case for the world’s weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo. After being brutally slaughtered by monsters in a high-ranking dungeon, Jinwoo came back with the System, a program only he could see, that’s leveling him up in every way. Now, he’s inspired to discover the secrets behind his powers and the dungeon that spawned them.”

Solo Leveling - 2

The clash between Gojo and Sukuna in the recent chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen has become the talk of the town, marking one of the most pivotal moments in recent manga history.

However, the outcome of this monumental battle has left much of the fandom dissatisfied, particularly with Gojo’s unexpected defeat. Despite this, recent developments have sparked speculation about a potential rematch between the two titans, igniting fervent discussion among fans.

Gege Akutami’s latest artwork for Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 26 has stirred excitement within the community, hinting at the possibility of Gojo facing off against Sukuna once again. In the artwork, Gojo appears shocked, his face bearing slashes, prompting fans to ponder two plausible scenarios.

Some fans believe the depiction reflects Gojo’s reaction to Sukuna’s devastating attack, while others speculate that it portrays Gojo awakening after being revived in Shoko’s lab.

Given that Gojo’s body was transported from the battlefield to Shoko Ieiri, a skilled practitioner of the Reverse Cursed Technique, there’s optimism among fans that she may succeed in bringing him back to life.

The necessity for a rematch between Gojo and Sukuna has intensified following recent events in the manga. With Gojo’s demise, the remaining Jujutsu sorcerers are struggling to contain Sukuna’s rampage. Despite their efforts, Sukuna continues to overpower every opponent, including formidable characters like Yuta Okkotsu and Hiromi Higuruma.

While the recent appearance of Miguel and Larue has injected hope into the fandom, uncertainty looms over the story’s direction.

Many fans believe it’s imperative for Gojo to return and confront Sukuna once more, as his absence has created a significant void that no other sorcerer can fill.

However, some argue that a rematch between Gojo and Sukuna could undermine the efforts of other sorcerers and diminish their significance in the narrative.

It raises questions about whether Gojo’s return solely for this purpose would overshadow the potential growth and achievements of his students, a concern that warrants careful consideration for the story’s progression.

Jujutsu Kaisen - 4
