Plot

But, Eric’s wife isn’t in much favor of the decision as she believes Eric doesn’t give much time to his family due to his job. The first person to join Eric’s team was a drug addict and unemployed Brendan McDonough, who joined the team to be a provider for his newly born daughter. Eric’s Crew trains hard and becomes the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

The Crew was seen fighting many fires, and at times they even risked their lives to save the country from fire. These were the local heroes. Eric whereas returns home to start a family with his wife. Eric, later on, appoints Jesse as the superintendent and leaves the post. Unfortunately, the fire suddenly increases; wind, whereas, adds more speed to the fire, and it starts to spread toward the Crew. Unfortunately, Eric’s call for a tanker gets missed, fire sweeps over the Crew, and radio calls become unanswered. This was the end of all the members, except Brendan, as he leaves the Crew a few moments back to spend time with his family and gets saved by another hotshot.

The next part of the movie takes us to the Prescott Middle School, where Brendan appears out of nowhere, and the families of the casualties realize that their loved ones are gone. At this point, Amanda consoles Brendan during his psychological breakdown. A few years later, Brendan played with his daughter near the juniper tree that the Crew saved. In fact, saving this tree was one of the first missions of the Crew. In fact, Brendan has a memory of a rattlesnake that bit him while saving the tree. The movie’s end was having the pictures of actual Granite Mountain Hotshots and their actor replicas.
